Consultative Meeting: Afghanistan International Online Academy (AIOAC) with Iranian E-Learning Higher Education Institute

*Monday, June 16, 2025 (26th of Jawza/June 1404)* – A consultative meeting was held between the Afghanistan International Online Academy (AIOAC) and the Iranian E-Learning Higher Education Institute. The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdul Rahim Asadi, Director General of AIOAC, Dr. Hamidullah Mofid, Deputy for Public Relations and International Affairs of AIOAC, Dr. Bijan Arab Yazdi, President of the Institute, and Dr. Mohammad Ali Motlaq, Executive Deputy of the Institute.

Mr. Abdul Rahim Asadi, Director General, began the session by offering condolences to the families affected by recent incidents in Iran and wishing for lasting peace and tranquility worldwide. He then elaborated on AIOAC's strategic goals and plans, as well as its significant achievements.

Dr. Bijan Arab Yazdi, President of the Iranian E-Learning Higher Education Institute, expressed his gratitude for the expressed sympathies and provided an overview of the institute's history. He emphasized that the institute is the first virtual higher education center in Iran, with 20 years of experience, and had provided online educational services to all universities in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. He conveyed the institute's willingness to engage in comprehensive cooperation with the Afghanistan International Online Academy.

Joint academic, research, and cultural collaborations between the two institutions.

Launching joint Master's degree programs with the awarding of dual degrees.

Utilization of virtual and online educational infrastructures: The Afghanistan International Online Academy can leverage the educational and research systems of the Iranian E-Learning Higher Education Institute.

Following discussion and deliberation, it was agreed that both parties will sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the near future to commence joint cooperation.
