Board of Trustees of AIOA

The Board of Trustees, based on the recommendation of the Director General and the University President, is appointed by the Founder of the Academy for a term of two years. This term may be extended at the discretion of the Founder.

Composition of the Board of Trustees:

The Board of Trustees is composed of the following legal and natural personalities, appointed by the Founder:

The General President of the Academy;

The University President.

Ten individuals selected from among the elites and intellectuals of Afghanistan and abroad, who are familiar with international affairs as well as academic, research, and cultural matters.

Duties of the Board of Trustees

Duties of the Board of Trustees

Oversight of the annual performance in educational, research, cultural, administrative, financial, and accounting matters of the Academy.

Approval of the internal regulations of the Board of Trustees, as well as the necessary rules, bylaws, and procedures.

Providing necessary advice and recommendations to the Director General of the Academy.

3. Oversight of the administrative performance of the University Presidency.

Providing necessary consultations to the General President of the Academy.

The Board of Trustees shall hold meetings at least once every six months.

Note: Board meetings shall be considered valid with the presence of at least two-thirds of the members, and resolutions shall be adopted by a majority vote of at least half plus one of the members present at the official meeting.
