Principal of the Afghanistan International Online School (AIOS)

Reports To: Director-General (AIOAC)

Supervises:

Deputy Principal, Human Resources, Head Teacher, Teacher Supervisors, and all other Staff

Duties, Authorities, and Responsibilities:

1. Comprehensive management of all personnel and organization of all executive affairs through the creation and leadership of teacher and staff teams, division of duties, and the fostering of a collaborative spirit among all personnel.

2. Oversight and supervision of student, teacher, and staff affairs, and preparation of accurate and detailed statistics of students, teachers, and administrative staff.

3. Care and supervision of all school personnel, departments, and overall human resources management, including proposals for recruitment, separation, promotions, bonuses, sanctions, appointments, dismissals, provision and execution of employee salaries in accordance with laws and regulations.

4. Organization and management of the school's logistical affairs, including identifying priorities and needs, procurement of goods, books, teaching materials, stationery, and other necessities, and their distribution in compliance with the laws, regulations, and policies of the Ministry of Education.

5. Cultivation of a healthy and secure learning environment, including the management of security affairs, organization of construction and maintenance, and the reinforcement of educational discipline and decorum within the school.

6. Implementation of policies, regulations, laws, and programs related to the Ministry of Education and the Academy in the educational and pedagogical spheres.

7. Oversight of teaching methods, evaluation and examination systems, implementation of curriculum plans in accordance with the regulations and policies of the Ministry of Education and the Academy, with the aim of improving the quality of educational and pedagogical affairs.

8. Organization and leadership of parent-teacher meetings within the school.

9. Maintaining amicable and enduring relations between the school administration and community councils/parent-teacher associations and school personnel.

10. Ensuring cooperation and coordination with other educational institutions of the Ministry of Education in order to improve educational and pedagogical affairs.

11. Decision-making regarding the effective operational program of the school.

12. Controlling all activities and affairs of the school in accordance with established guidelines.

13. Preparation of necessary educational directives.

14. Analysis and interpretation of reports received from administrative cadres and actions taken accordingly.

15. Actions related to the further development and expansion of the educational, pedagogical, and technical knowledge of directors, teachers, and other personnel.

16. Creating coordination among the educational and pedagogical leadership cadres of the school.

17. Ensuring necessary preparations for each new academic year to achieve its goals.

18. Timely preparation and provision of necessary books and registers for recording and documenting the educational, pedagogical, and administrative activities.

19. Providing an estimated list of teachers within the specified timeframe.

20. Performing other duties as directed in the interest of managerial awareness
